English Language (ESL) Classes in Whitecourt
Improve your vocabulary and knowledge of everyday expressions, learn to communicate more effectively through interactive activities.

Course Length: 8 weeks, 32 hours

Fee: $185.00 (Funding subsidy may be available to eligible students)

English Language (ESL) Conversation Groups
Have fun practicing your English language skills and meet other people in our community!
There is no need to sign up - just drop in. Everyone is welcome!
Tuesdays: through June 25, 2019 (except not May 21), from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Location: Whitecourt & District Public Library located at 5201 49th Street (downtown Whitecourt)
Offered in partnership with the Whitecourt & District Public Library.
In partnership with NorQuest College, Whitecourt/Lac Ste. Anne Adult Learning, is offering a part-time GED Prep course at our Whitecourt Campus, allowing students to prepare for the GED exam. Students focus on developing and improving their reading, writing, math, science and social studies skills.

Location: NorQuest College, Whitecourt Campus (4739 50th Avenue)
Fee: $350 (100% subsidy is available to eligible students)
Registration Deadline: To Be Announced
Students can expect to spend approximately 4 hours on homework per week during the course. The course instructor will provide tutoring outside of class hours for those who need extra help (included in the course fee).
Course registration fees DO NOT include the cost of writing the GED exam. The GED exam costs an additional $200 paid separately for those who wish to take the exam (100% subsidy is available to eligible students)
Problem Solving/Solution Building (Whitecourt)
Learn to recognize what the problem is and then find a solution by using creative tools. Learn how to implement solutions using a step by step strategy. Recognize key elements that will help you stay focused on the task.
